OMG- Rajkumar Hirani is the new victim of #MeToo Movement – puts Munna Bhai 3 on hold
The #MeToo Campaign that has begun a few months before has caught many bigwigs not just from the entertainment industry but from other circles too. In fact, it even forced the MoS, Mr. M J Akbar, to step down from his ministry, while hordes of other veteran and less known people from Bollywood had to face a lot for the deeds they did in the past. Now, the fresh name that appears among the veterans in Bollywood is the Sanju director Rajkumar Hirani. The filmmaker who has given loads of Blockbuster films like PK, 3 Idiots and Sanju had is making news for all wrong reason as he is the fresh victim of #MeToo Campaign.
As per reports, the filmmaker was seen sexually abusing a lady during the making of his previous film Sanju several times during March and September 2018. The girl while alleging stated that her mind, body, and soul was badly maligned during these months and the night went terrible with the event occurred to her. She wrote a letter discussing about the ordeal she faced that night and it was then posted over the Huff Post India. The same reports suggested that she wrote an email about this horrifying night to the director and his co-workers like Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Anupama Chopra and others. The Chopras supported the lady and suggested her to take legal action.
This has made Vidhu Vinod Chopra to put his next film Munna Bhai 3 with Rajkummar Hirani on hold. He is currently busy in promoting his next film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga. Also, Fox Star India has warned the Chopras to discontinue their partnership with them if they continue to partner with Hirani. This is the reason why the film Munnabhai 3 on hold. The film was in its pre-production stage. This partnership is also on hold till the filmmaker is given a clean chit on this issue. The Chopras are looking forward to sort out this issue and they have even set up an investigation agency to expedite this matter as soon as possible.
