The film -Ek Ladki ko Dekhha To Aisa Laga seemed to have a decent collection on the first weekend. With a meagre collection on day one of 3.30 crores, the Sonam Kapoor starrer film took a modest surge in the next two days. The Saturday witnessed 4.6 Cr. And Sunday just went the double with collection reaching out to 8.6 crazy. All thanks to the good word of mouth buzz found for the film that helped the film to prosper. Otherwise, in terms of content and subject, the film only attracted a limited crowd. The Shelly Dhar film managed to create a good buzz with positive words for the people who caught the film.

As per reports, the first-weekend box office collection for the film Ek Ladki ko Dekha To Aisa Laga scored 16.5 cr. Which is a decent amount for the makers as they knew it would be difficult to attract a good chunk of people towards the film. The film had however scored good reviews by most of the critics, and it helped again to garner some amount of buzz for the film. Also, the makers were able with light content did the rest. Let’s not forget about the ensemble star cast Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao and Juhi Chawla that has to be counted as well. This is the first movie that has brought both daughter and father together.

The experts feel that the weekdays would have the usual story with the collection remaining 3 to 4 crores on an average. So by the end of the week, the collection would reach up-to 35 crores, and with the second weekend, the collection for the film would touch 50 films.  Also, the competition posed by Kangana Ranaut starrer film also came in the way to this film. That’s the story so far which is okay though not impressive for the makers. stay tuned to know more on this film and others only with us, while you can comment as well to know more about it and others only with us.

ek-ladki-ko-dekha-toh-aisa-laga-1st day box office

For the much hyped and promoted film having the daughter and father duo Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor working for the first time in any B Town, it is indeed not a piece of good news when we look at the collections of the film of the first day. In fact, most of the trade experts and pundits were seen saying in a chorus that the film will not attract the masses as it deals with same-sex relationship making it a niche movie. So, if you check the occupancy in the morning shows, it was not more than 10 per cent. The afternoon and evening shows did witness some amount of escalation in terms of occupancy, the film really failed to move beyond 45 to 50 per cent.

The reviews also were mixed and the only a section of the masses was attracted towards it making it a selective film. Though the taboo subject was dealt with fun and drama, the core idea of the film did not attract anyone. Only the urbane crowd will be attracted therefore the film did well in metro cities like Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bangalore and Delhi particularly the multiplexes. The single screens did not show any good response hence the makers did not target the single screens. So, as per the reports, the first-day box office collection for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga went to 4.55 Crore which was the expected figure by the experts.

However, the makers had great hopes for the film since they thought they had reduced the weight of the film making it a light comedy hence were expecting a higher collection. The experts feel that if the film is able to develop a decent word of mouth buzz in the media, it will certainly going to make all the difference. Let’s wait and watch. But the moment things are not in the favour of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Let’s not forget that the audience has still better options like Uri The Surgical Strike and the Kangana Ranaut starrer historical movie to watch that also did the rest of the damage. Yet the first weekend collection for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will rise making it close to 20 Crores.

Thackeray

The biopic movie called Thackeray featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the role of the late Shiv Sena Supremo – Bal Thackeray had a dull week. Despite getting positive reviews for the stellar performance of the actor, the film remained a niche that can only attract people of the Maharashtra state. Therefore the makers also released the movie in Marathi version as well which did better than the Hindi version. If you add the two collections, the film gets a decent score. Also, the competition posed to Thackeray by the historical drama movie called Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi also had a price to pay.

With the first-weekend box office collection not even reaching the double figure as well, in fact, on an average the film has collected 1.20 Crores, which at the end of the first week had a tiny figure to share. As per reports, the 1st-week box office collection for Thackeray went to around 15.55 Crores. On the other side, The M Town film had a decent collection after the 1st week giving a good figure. In fact, it was the Marathi version only that had helped the makers to earn from the biopic since many of the Marathi people feel a simple connection with the late leader. The experts have guessed such a pitiable condition of the movie.

One of the key reasons why the film failed in the Hindi belt was the unpopularity of this man which this film deals with. The only thing they can relate is Nawazuddin Siddiqui who really impressed the audience with his incredible performance. But it failed to attract the audience in the Hindi belt. Also, the anti-North Indian and South Indian campaigns led by the late leader is also shown in the film had made this man an object of hate among the people of Bihar, UP and other Northern states. Similarly, the South Indian states also had a similar image of the person, which kept them away to catch the film except the Marathi people catching it.
