Zid is said to be an upcoming Bollywood erotic thriller movie, whose direction has been given by Vivek Agnihotri. The producer of the movie is Anubhav Sinha, being in association with Benaras Media Works and Anubhav Sinha Productions Private Ltd. The movie stars Mannara (Priyanka Chopra’s cousin) and Karanvir Singh in the lead roles. The movie is slated to be released coming February, 2015.
In the movie, Karanvir plays the role of Rohan and Mannara as Maya. Shraddha Das also is a part of the movie. Rohan is a crime reporter who gets a chance to stay with girl called Maya in an outhouse, when working on an assignment. They both immediately feel attracted to one another and make love to each other. Maya decides to be open with her feelings about Rohan to him, while, he is not that serious about her. Hearing this and finding Rohan to be with another girl, she simply gets shattered. The other girl here is played by Shraddha Das. However, she is so obsessed with him that she decides not to leave him. What happens next is something that viewers should wait until the movie gets released!
It had been reported on 13th November, 2013 that Barbie Handa, cousin sister of Priyanka Chopra would be making her debut in Bollywood starring opposite Karanvir Sharma. However, on 23rd October, 2014, reports suggested that director of the movie, Vivek Agnihotri walked out of this project, because of creative differences. Even though Agnihotri had confirmed that the reports were true, Anubhav Sinha, the film’s producer had denied the fall out while stating that the film very well has Vivek Agnihotri in the project. On 27th October, 2014, reports confirmed that Handa had rechristened herself with the name Manaara for the movie. Movie for this movie was provided by Sharib-Toshi.
