With the release of Bhootnath Returns, the movie, on April 11, 2014, the audience will be treated to Indian horror comedy genre. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie has the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the lead role of Bhootnath , a ghost with an unfinished business. Besides Bachchan, the movie also sees ace actor Boman Irani and child artist Parth S. Bhalerao in supporting roles. Jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Ravi Chopra, the movie is co-produced by Ajay Kapoor. The movie is a sequel to the earlier box-office hit, Bhootnath that was released in the year 2008. The trailer of the movie was released on 26th February, 2014 and was very well received. The music of the movie has been well received by the audience.
While Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor give a cameo appearance, Usha Jadhav, Anurag Kashyap, Sanjay Mishra, Brijendra Kala, Usha Nadkarni and others play some important characters. Set in a frenzied urban locality, the movie revolves around Akhrot, a fearless street kid, played by Bhalerao. The movie seems to be a political satire wherein a ghost plans to stand as an opponent for the upcoming elections against the character played by Boman Irani. Well known rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh was roped in to compose one of the interesting songs of Bhootnath Returns titled, Party. Ram Sampath has directed the music of this movie along with Meet Bros Anjjan. The movie brings together Yo Yo Honey Singh and Amitabh Bachchan together for the first time.
