Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 12th August, 2021
The world premiere of Amazon Original Movie Shershaah was announced today by Amazon Prime Video. The announcement marks the first time Amazon Prime Video and Dharma Productions have collaborated for a global debut. Captain Vikram Batra (PVC), a Kargil war hero, is portrayed by Sidharth Malhotra in the highly anticipated war drama.
Shershaah, directed by Vishnu Varadhan and co-produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment, is set to be the year’s greatest Bollywood military drama and will hit theatres in time for the Independence Day weekend. Starting August 12th, fans in India and more than 240 countries and territories across the world will be able to watch this fascinating film exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles and Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himmanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Ankita Goraya, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles.
Shershaah is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra and is a narrative of valour, love, and sacrifice (PVC). The film honours his heroic spirit and his priceless sacrifice during the Kargil War in 1999. Captain Batra’s heroic fight and ultimate sacrifice, faithful to his codename “Shershaah,” were crucial in India’s victory.
