Film Nakkash focusing on communal harmony to Release on 31st May
The film Nakkash starring Inaam-ul-Haq and Sharib Hashmi is all set to hit the screens on 31st May. The film talks about the communal harmony and it has once again brought the National Award winning film Filmistan’s star cast together. The film showcases a Muslim craftsman and his role in building the communal harmony in his society. Interestingly, the film has also reached the 71st Cannes film festival, which was commenced recently in New York City.
The festival also had the Nandita Das film Manto starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the Cannes Festival. Both the films were chosen by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that talks about the secular fabric of the country claimed the director of the film who happens to be Zaigham Imam. The festival started today and has a wide range of films all across the country including the two as discussed above.
The film deals with a story of a Muslim craftsman who crafts idols for the Hindu temples and is later boycotted by his community and thus faces a tough time with his family. The film was chosen only because it talks about the spirit of communal harmony and is made at the backdrop of the Varanasi city. The makers have released the first look poster earlier and are now willing to embark upon the trailer of the film soon. The film as said would be releasing this month end.
