Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor finally wrap the Brahmastra shoot after 5 years!

Finally, after almost five years, Ayan Mukerji has shut the rolling cameras for Bramhastra. Finally, the team of Brahmastra has wrapped the shoots of the film and is headed towards the post-production.

Announcing the same, director Ayan Mukerji took his Instagram handle sharing a few pictures of the cast and crew. While sharing this, he wrote, “And finally… It’s a Wrap! 5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmāstra, and we’ve finally filmed our last one! Absolutely incredible, challenging, once-in-a-lifetime journey!!! Some hand of destiny that we finished the shoot of ‘Part One: Shiva’ in Varanasi – a city infused with the spirit of Shiv Bhagwan, and that too at the most sacred Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, allowing us to finish in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings! Exciting days ahead, last lap ahead! 09.09.2022 – Here we come!”

Showing her excitement about the same, Alia Bhatt also shared a cute video of the whole crew and wrote, “We started shooting in 2018. And now … finally .. The filming of Brahmastra (Part One) comes to an end ! I’ve been wanting to say this for such a long time..ITS A WRAP!!!!!!!!”

Producer Karan Johar also shared his gratitude. He also shared a sweet video from the Varanasi shoot and wrote, “And this wonderful, exciting, thrilling journey…one filled with the utmost hardwork, dedication, love & passion has come to an end. Only for it to unravel on the big screens for you to experience!! #Brahmastra Part One – Shiva is coming to cinemas on 09.09.2022!”

Meanwhile, talking about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra, the film has been in the works for a long time. Apart from Alia and Ranbir, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna also appear in the film, which is directed by Ayan Mukerji of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fame. Shah Rukh Khan is said to make a cameo appearance. The film is a fantasy epic that is only the first installment in a planned trilogy. The film has a September 9 release date, however, it has previously been postponed, first owing to reshoots and then due to the pandemic.
