This Friday, we get to see two movies hitting the screens, which certainly include the film called Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The film has Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role. The film is a comical and satirical one taking a dig over a serious issue of erective dysfunction. So, when people do not like to talk about this issue loudly a film has been attempted giving an awareness about the issue that needs to be done by such a medium. This has however, helped the film to gain a decent reviews by most of the critics which somehow failed to garner the similar kinds of reviews by the audience.
Well, now, let’s check the box office saga for the film SMS. Well, the movie opened up with a below average occupancy which went to around of 15-20% in the morning shows. The film has failed to attract the audience with such a subject for obvious reasons. Also, the movie happens to be a remake of a Tamil version of the film called Kalyana Samayal Saadham, which had the same director from the south called R S Prasanna. As per the director who did his debut in B Town with this film, this movie is nothing but an experiment for him.
Thus expecting a low collection was expected. Also, the film was not promoted the way it deserves to be. As per reports, the first day box office collection for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan tolled to around 1.1 crores. The film is expected to perform the similar way in the coming first weekend. Though we get a good performance from the star cast unlike his previous movies like Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Hindi Medium, but it has failed to give the high returns over the box office. Well, let’s see how things would move in the coming first weekend.
