Akshay Kumar to provide monthly ration to 3600 dancers through Ganesh Acharya Foundation
The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on many people of the nation. While the country is suffering from a huge financial backlash many celebrities have come forward to help people in every possible way. Amid this, Akshay Kumar has now pledged to help 3600 dancers with monthly rations.
According to the choreographer, Ganesh Acharya requested Akshay to help 1600 junior choreographers and aged dancers and about 2000 background dancers with a month’s ration. He wanted this from Akshay on his 50th birthday. As the actor agreed to this the choreographer through his Ganesh Acharya Foundation will take the initiative. Ganesh’s wife who is also deeply involved in the cause will be personally overseeing the distribution and packing of the ration which is being done areawise keeping the COVID-19 protocols in check.
According to the reports, the dancers and the choreographers who are registered with them will either get the money for the essentials or will be provided with ration kits to feed their families. The decision is completely for the dancers to make.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay is busy with so many projects including Prithviraj, Ram Setu, Bachchan Panday and Bell Bottom.
