Amish Reveals the Ongoing Works of Web series on ‘Shiva Trilogy’

Amish TripathyAuthor Amish Tripathy’s ‘Shiva Trilogy’ was a smashing hit in its book version. However, news has been buzzing around that this hit book will soon be featured in the form of a web series. The news has been coming up after its pretty long-awaited big-screen adaptation that failed to see the light of the day.

The veteran filmmaker Karan Johar had already bought the rights of the first of the three-part mythological series-The Immortals of Meluha‘ back in 2014, but this project couldn’t take off ever.

Throwing the light on the same, Amish in conversation with the top media house said, “The rights have now come back from Karan, and a fresh contract has been signed with a producer. We are working on a (web) series based on the ‘Shiva Trilogy’.” Johar mentioned that one of the reasons for not adapting the trilogy in 2017 was the “fear of repercussions.”

The best-selling novelist, however, did give much of an elaboration on who would be helming the proposed web series or details concerning to its release date. Amish, 44, was in the big city recently to promote his latest drafted book ‘Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta‘, the third installment in the ‘Ram Chandra’ series. The book is based on the traces of the life of Raavan – right from birth to the time he abducted Sita.

The banker-turned-author seems to be pretty confident about each and every book in his mythological saga and seems to feel quite positive about adaption of his book into a movie or a web series in the due course of time.

He further added on the same, “Each book has its fate and it will get converted into a movie or a series when the time is right… ‘The Lord of the Rings’ took 70 years, ‘Jurassic Park’ took only three-four years.”
