Netflix India announces Dabba Cartel and Queen Of The Hill’ with Excel Entertainment

Netflix India announces a new collaboration with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, both the giants are teaming up to create new and diverse projects for the audience.

The official handle of Netflix India dropped the confirmation on social media. It said, “Dil chahta hai to scream out loud because we’re partnering with @excelmovies to bring you some excellent content…starting with two exclusive series – Dabba Cartel and Queen of the Hill. @FarOutAkhtar @ritesh_sid… Yah toh yeh partnership gehri hai, ya toh yeh tweet 3D hai”  

Excel Entertainment under its series banner Excel Media and Entertainment will commence with the two projects tentatively titled ‘Dabba Cartel’ and ‘Queen of the Hill’.

‘Dabba Cartel’ is a story of five housewives who run a high stakes secret cartel. On the other hand, ‘Queen of the Hill’, set in the backdrop of jazz rich 1960s Mumbai will explore many themes including style, ambition, love, friendship and betrayal. The show will chronicle the dynamic relationship between two ambitious women that will change the city forever.

Meanwhile on the work front, Farhan Akhtar under his home-banner announced a road-movie, titled Jee Le Zaara, starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film will also mark Farhan’s return to direction.
