Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Day 5 Collection: Shahid & Kriti’s Romantic Comedy Set to Cross Rs 60 Crore Global Mark on V Day
The romantic comedy “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, has maintained its momentum at the box office following a lukewarm opening. The film, which experienced a significant drop in collections on its first Monday, exhibited some growth on Tuesday.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the box office collection of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” on Day 5 is estimated at Rs 3.85 crore, compared to Monday’s Rs 3.65 crore. The film is likely benefiting from the Valentine’s Week, with its total domestic collections reaching Rs 34.6 crore in five days. Globally, it is expected to surpass the Rs 60 crore mark soon.
“Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” has outperformed Kartik Aaryan’s “Shehzada,” which was released around the same time last year and concluded with Rs 32.02 crore. Written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film currently ranks as the second-biggest Hindi film of 2024 at the box office, following Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-led “Fighter” (Rs 199 crore). Other Bollywood releases, “Main Atal Hoon” and “Merry Christmas,” did not make a significant impact at the box office.
To attract audiences to theaters, the makers of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” are offering a buy-one-get-one-free offer on Valentine’s Day. It is anticipated that the film will experience a substantial increase in collections on this day. The Indian Express’ film critic Shubhra Gupta awarded “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” two stars, describing it as a ‘mish-mash’ of genres. The review highlighted, “For a film which wants to be a family entertainer, there are risible sequences featuring men peering down low-cut blouses-and-bosoms, and tasteless wife joke.”
