Rajesh Khanna, popularly known as ‘Kaka’ in Bollywood, was born on 29 December 1942. Rajesh Khanna did not become a hit as soon as he took entry in films, but after many years of struggle, he achieved the status of the first superstar. Born in Amritsar, Punjab, even though the world knows the first superstar of the Hindi film world as Rajesh Khanna, his fans and the whole Bollywood knew him as Kaka. Prior to appearing in films, Rajesh Khanna’s name was Jatin Khanna. Rajesh Khanna was interested in acting since childhood, so he joined the theater early in his career. Rajesh Khanna, who entertained people on the silver screen for many years, said goodbye to this world on 18 July 2012.

Rajesh Khanna started his acting career with Chetan Anand’s ‘Aakhiri Khat’. This film was released in the year 1966 but his career did not benefit from this film. During this, Rajesh struggled to prove himself as an actor. After this, Rajesh Khanna was established in Bollywood as a successful actor in the year 1969, Shakti Samanta’s film Aradhana. After the film Aradhana, Rajesh Khanna became famous as a romantic actor in Bollywood. After this Rajesh Khanna became the first such star to give 15 consecutive successive films.

Rajesh Khanna fell ill at the last moment and died on 18 July 2012 due to illness. After the death of Rajesh Khanna, his friend Amitabh Bachchan expressed his grief through his blog. He told in this blog that when he arrived for the last darshan of Rajesh Khanna, one of his close friends had said that the last words of Rajesh Khanna were ‘Time is up’, ‘Pack up’.
