Janhvi Kapoor turns into Princess Ariel in this latest promotional video of ‘The Little Mermaid’

Actress Janhvi Kapoor who has a huge fan base on social media and is known for always keeping her fans updated with her new projects surprised her fans by sharing a new video on Instagram where she can be seen promoting Disney’s upcoming film The Little Mermaid by turning into a mermaid herself.

She shared the video on her Instagram with the caption, “Immerse yourself in the wonders of The Little Mermaid where love knows no bounds and where wishes come true. Watch Princess Ariel in #TheLittleMermaid in cinemas on May 26”. Besides Jahnvi Kapoor, the video also features two cute young girls viz., Sayesha Singh and Kiara Nautiyal.

The promotional video depicts Janhvi Kapoor entering a room and complimenting two young girls on their resemblance to Princess Ariel. Janhvi Kapoor agrees to recite the renowned Hindi children’s poem ‘Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai’ at the request of one of the small girls. Towards the end of the video, Janhvi also transforms into ‘The Little Mermaid’ when reading the famous rhyme and finally requests the viewers to visit the theatres to watch ‘The Little Mermaid’.

Helmed by Rob Marshall, the film features Halle Bailey as Princess Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Awkwafina as Scuttle, Noma Dumezweni, Jude Akuwudike as Joshua Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, and Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, ‘The Little Mermaid’ is set to hit the theatres on 26 May 2026.

On the work front, Jahnvi Kapoor has multiple projects lined up including Nitish Tiwari’s ‘Bawaal’ where she will be seen with Varun Dhawan, the sports drama ‘Mrs. And Mrs. Mahi,’ in which she will co-star with Rajkummar Rao and multi-starrer spy-thriller ‘Ulajh’. The actress is also set to make her Telugu debut alongside Jr. NTR in the yet-to-be-titled action-thriller ‘NTR30’.
