‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ and ‘Dhokha – Round D Corner’ saw a huge drop on day 2 at the box office

After doing well on release day due to National Cinema Day, the week’s new releases saw a decline in receipts, as predicted. While Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol’s ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist‘ dropped by roughly 35% on Day 2, R Madhavan’s ‘Dhokha Round D Corner’ dropped by more than 50% on Saturday after ticket prices increased from Rs 75.

‘Chup’ earned roughly Rs 1.85 crore on Day 2, according to Box Office India. Given how other films have performed after the epidemic, the picture is still performing well. The film’s total earnings have now reached Rs 4.7 crore nett.

In a recent interview, ‘Chup’ director R Balki stated that box office statistics were always more important to him. According to him, the picture should do well and the producers should not lose money. He went on to say that he prefers to enjoy and appreciate a film rather than criticise it. He told India Today that he created ‘Chup’ because he, like many others, was hurt by poor evaluations. “It’s about any kind of criticism that people face in life. Criticism today has become a fashion. People jump to criticise. It hurts a lot if you are sensitive,” he said.
