Well, as they see them wearing huge dresses in films many of them are designed from top designers some are very expensive, but what happens when they are seen in the movies, what are the end of such dresses often would intrigue you. Reuse Costumes
Yes these are often reused, however, the way these are used again would vary from one production house to the other. Many are stored for the future projects of the producers. Also, the celebrity designers are seen getting back their designed dresses for instance the green gown of Ansuhka Sharma seen in Bombay Velvet was taken back by the designer to use in the future by mixing and matching thing.
Re-design the costume
Some of the dress designers get the dresses unstitched and then they redesign it from the scratch for the same production house. However, this is carried out with great care and professionalism adding lots of creativity.
Some outfits are often given as souvenirs
At times the makers give the dresses to the actors or other actors of the film like a souvenir.
Auction
Some of the dresses are even auctioned. For instance, the dress of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajinikanth found in the movie Robot were sold and these outfits put the auction to stom. Later it was sold to raise money for an NGO.
Donated to Charity
Some of the dresses are sold to thrift stores to raise money for different charity groups and NGOs.

At times the actors are also seen keeping the dresses with them like a memento simply to cherish their good time in the film with their outfits in the film.
