On November 11th, 2022, the movie Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and Sarika, will be released in theatres. Parineeti Chopra will make a very special guest appearance. Fans have been ecstatic since the news that Rajshri Productions will release Uunchai broke. Numerous scenes for the movie were filmed in Nepal, Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Lucknow, and Kanpur. Sooraj R. Barjatya, the director, is making his long-awaited comeback to the big screen. It’s intended to be a full-fledged family entertainment.
Amitabh Bachchan revealed the first image from Uunchai, which also features Anupam and Boman, today in honour of Friendship’s Day 2022. The group is depicted on the poster travelling across the Himalayas, with Mount Everest towering over them in the distance.
The tagline at the top of the teaser poster reads- ‘Friendship was their only motivation.’ Taking to his social media handle, Big B wrote: “Celebrate #FriendshipDay with the first visual of our upcoming #Rajshri film #Uunchai. Join me, @anupamkher and @boman_irani on a journey that celebrates friendship. A film by @rajshrifilms and #SoorajBarjatya, @uunchaithemovie will be in a theatre near you on 11.11.22.”
On April 27, the last schedule of the movie was completed, and Boman Irani used social media to share a glimpse of the final day. He shared it on his official Instagram handle. Additionally, Danny Denzongpa and Nafisa Ali Sodhi appear in the movie as extras in Uunchai.
Rajshri’s 60th movie is titled Uunchai. This year, it marks its 75th anniversary with the 7th film that Sooraj R. Barjatya has directed. As producers for this big project, Mahaveer Jain of Mahaveer Jain Films and Natasha Malpani Oswal of Boundless Media have teamed up with Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Late Rajkumar Barjatya, and Ajit Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri.
