Aishwarya Rai Bachchan pens a heartfelt message for legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar

Recently, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to her Instagram account to pay tribute to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. The actress posted a picture of the singer and wrote, “At a loss for words. Prayers for your Divine Soul to Rest in Peace, Lataji… God Bless. In absolute gratitude for you… and all your Blessings… Eternally…”

As soon as Aishwarya posted the picture, her fans couldn’t stop reminiscing about Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic songs from Aishwarya’s film Mohabbatein. A fan wrote, “Humko Humise Chura Lo from Mohabbatein is so melodious. Very memorable tune.” Another one wrote, “We love iconic ‘Humko hami se chura’ lo’ song and her voice suited perfectly”

Well, Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter Shweta Bachchan were amongst the first ones to reach Lata Mangeshkar’s residence Prabhukunj as soon as the news came out. However, Amitabh Bachchan skip the crematory rituals which happened at Shivaji Park in Mumbai due to Covid reasons. A lot of other celebrities like SRK, Ranbir Kapoor, Javed Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor including PM Narendra Modi were present at the venue to pay their tribute to the legendary singer.

Lata Mangeshkar died on Sunday morning at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where she had been admitted for the previous 28 days. Dr Pratit Samdani, the veteran singer’s doctor, released a statement revealing that Lata didi died of multiple organ failure. The statement read, “It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalization post COVID19.”
