Peekay is considered to be Amir Khan’s upcoming and most awaited project of the year. Once again the 3 Idiots team is said to come together with Rajkumar Hirani directing this drama, besides Vidhu Vinod Chopra as producer and Abhijar Joshi the writer.

The film is said to be kept under wraps, while the makers and the cast has been tight lipped in this regard. The film’s rough plotline is known from an insider. It is a comedy film that revolves around a stranger’s unusual ideas in the city, where he tries to reinvent the residents’ thinking through his child like questions, curiosity and quirkiness. It is actually the innocence of P.K. which makes the people to re-think on their old ways of life and to have a look at the whole world from his eyes.

Peekay in his journey comes across friends and also enemies. He does bring about a change in the society through his philosophies. Apparently, it is a simplistic story based on human interest, where there is an extremely moving plot as emotions of laughter, love and friendship is rediscovered. Shooting was conducted in Rajasthan and Delhi. Even an FIR was said to be lodged against the makers of the movie for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments. Music for the film was composed by Shantanu Moitra and Ajay-Atul and cinematography by C. K. Muraleedharan. It is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures.
