Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur Conclude Delhi Shoot for ‘Metro In Dino,’ According to Reports

Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur, the lead actors in Anurag Basu’s upcoming film “Metro In Dino,” have wrapped up their shooting schedule in Delhi, as confirmed by a source close to the production. The movie serves as a sequel to Basu’s critically acclaimed 2007 film, “Life In A Metro.”

In an exclusive revelation to Hindustan Times, the source disclosed that Khan and Kapur spent three days filming various scenes across Delhi NCR. “Both Sara and Aditya had romantic scenes together which had to be shot at specific spots in Delhi,” the source explained. “All the scenes were filmed during the daytime, and the actors utilized their evenings to explore the capital.”

The Delhi schedule of the film encompassed diverse locations within the National Capital Region, including Connaught Place, Mandi House, and Hauz Khas. The final day of shooting involved capturing scenes in a metro train in Gurugram. The insider further mentioned, “It was just a 3-4 day schedule in Delhi NCR, and they are set to return to Mumbai today to commence the next shooting phase.”

Khan and Kapur’s collaboration in “Metro In Dino” marks their first on-screen pairing. The film also features an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Initially slated for a December 2023 release, “Metro In Dino” is now scheduled to hit the silver screen on September 13, 2024.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd, the film boasts a soundtrack composed by the acclaimed Pritam, reuniting the composer with director Anurag Basu.

This collaboration has sparked anticipation due to the successful track record of director Anurag Basu and composer Pritam. The film’s shift to a September 2024 release date has heightened excitement among fans eager to witness the on-screen chemistry between Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur in this much-anticipated sequel to “Life In A Metro.”
