Mammootty begins the shoot of his much-anticipated action thriller ‘Bazooka’
Mammootty who is known as a megastar of Malayalam film industry has finally begun the shoot of his much-anticipated action thriller ‘Bazooka’ today on 10 May. The producers officially announced the commencement of the shoot by sharing the pics from the pooja ceremony.

Talking about the film, Mammootty in his statement to IANS said, “It is nice to come across a script that takes you by surprise and grabs your interest instantly. ‘Bazooka’ is an action film but it is also a game of wits and has strong, well-etched characters. It is a very well-constructed, taut script and I am looking forward to the filming process because I know my character will take me on a very interesting journey.”
Bazooka is helmed by Deeno Dennis, who is making his directorial debut with this film. Deeno Dennis, the son of veteran script writer and novelist, Kaloor Dennis in Malayalam movies.
Bazooka will be shot mostly in Kochi and Bangalore in a single stretch, with Shine Tom Chacko, Neeta Pillai and Tamil filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon playing important parts with Mammootty. Nimish Ravi will handle the film’s cinematography, and Midhun Mukundan will compose the soundtrack.
Bazooka is produced by Theatre of Dreams and Yoodlee Films’ Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu V Abraham, Vikram Mehra, Sidharth, and Anand Kumar.
On the work front, Mammootty was most recently seen in the Telugu spy action thriller flick ‘Agent,’ which bombed at the box office. The actor is also preparing for the release of Jeo Baby’s family drama ‘Kaathal: The Core’, in which he co-stars with Jyothika. The film was supposed to be released in theatres in the second week of May, but it has been put back.
