The daily deals website Group on India has brought once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of meeting the king of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan and sharing the same screen with him. Groupon India has joined hands with SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment thus giving fans a chance to feature with the superstar in his upcoming film “Happy New Year”.
A platform ‘onewayticket.in’ has been created which enables the interested candidates to submit auditions with the help of a few clicks either by their computer or a mobile phone. The contestants will then be screened by the eminent judges on board. The best 200 will then go to Mumbai and public voting will be done for the other 300.
“Before coming up with this idea, we spoke a lot to the budding actors and it was concluded that the auditions are not easy to crack and are a big hassle in terms of travelling to various locations, hence we thought of having an online process where a person can give audition by just using a web cam,” said Ankur Warikoo, CEO, Groupon India. The entire process will cost Rs.499.
Desire of the millions to act with the Bollywood stars and giving a platform to the aspirants to showcase their talent on silver screen has been kept in consideration while designing this unique initiative. SRK is the role model of many young aspirants and everybody wants to be like him. Hence gelling up of Groupon and Red Chillies will prove beneficial as like SRK Groupon has also made a global footprint and the coordination of both will lead to a perfect synergy.
This deal can be availed by Shahrukh fans in other countries too. These include Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand and Dubai.
