Amidst a decent buzz, the film Street Dancer 3D starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva released today. After the success of ABCD 2, the makers are back with yet another film for the dance franchise. The film is made at the backdrop of dance and everyone seems to have done a decent job while dancing on the floor giving high ratings for the movie. This has helped the film to garner a good buzz in the media.
As per reports, the film was released in around 3000 screens all across the country giving a good chance to earn big. So, as expected the film seemed to do well on the first day. The occupancy report in the morning remained low with 25 to 30 percent, however, the surge was seen on the higher side with it turning to around 70 to 90 percent. With this buzz, the first-day box office collection for Street Dancer 3D went to around 12.5 Crores, which is a decent amount.
However, the film faced a bit of competition from other movie released on the same day called Panga starring Kangana Ranaut. Yet it did not hamper much the collection of Street Dancer 3D as it remained low at the box office. Also, Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior posed a bit of competition before the dance flick, yet it did not hamper much at the box office. The box office collection for SD 3D for the first weekend is expected to cross 40 Crores. Let’s see how things would move but at the moment things are rosy for the movie.
