Not Hrithik Roshan but Ranveer Singh to replace Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3?
Since it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of Farhan Akhtar’s Don franchise and will not appear in Don 3, fans have been speculating on who will take his place in the following films. Many people thought Hrithik Roshan would be an excellent choice because he not only fits the role, but he also made a minor cameo in Don 2. However, according to recent media reports, this is not the case. Instead of Hrithik, the makers have chosen Ranveer Singh to carry on the legacy of SRK in the upcoming films of Don franchise.

According to a News 18 report, the makers of Don 3, who were said to be in talks with a new ‘A-lister’ for the part of franchise leader, have reportedly finalized Ranveer Singh for the role. According to a person close to the situation, “Following Shah Rukh’s exit, the makers of Don 3 were looking for a popular and bankable name who could carry on the Don legacy.” And they’ve finally narrowed it down to Ranveer. This collaboration has previously produced fruit, and it will come as no surprise if it proves to be another smash hit. We’re curious to see how Don franchise fans respond to Ranveer’s casting, especially since Shah Rukh won everyone over with his captivating portrayal of Don.”
It’s also been reported that the makers intend to introduce Don 3 alongside Ranveer, who appears to have already shot the promotional video. According to the insider, “the audience will be waiting for the announcement with bated breath.” In fact, the Ranveer video has already been shot, and the production company intends to release it as soon as possible.”
The first Don, an official remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 film Don, was released in 2006, while the second installment was released in 2011 with SRK and Priyanka reprising their roles. Farhan directed both of the flicks. Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan’s Excel Entertainment production partner, has confirmed Don 3 and stated that the project is currently in the scripting stage.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh’s next film will be Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, in which he will reunite with his Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt. The romantic comedy, directed by Karan Johar, is set to be released on 28 July 2023
