Varun Dhawan in ‘team huddle’ with Samantha and Citadel team

 

Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are set to share screen time for the first time in Raj and DK’s action-packed web series “Citadel. Varun and Samantha arrived in England with the rest of the crew to begin the filming .The actor has now shared a photo of the group, who appear to be having a good time together.

Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to post a photo where he can be seen relaxing over coffee with Samantha and series director Raj and DK. Sharing this fun picture, Varun wrote, “Team huddle in England #citadelindia.” Varun’s good friend Arjun Kapoor took to the comments section and wrote, “Need a bigger table for the big budget bonanza!!!”

Citadel is an Indian adaptation of the same-named English spy thriller web series starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden. Citadel, directed by the Russo Brothers of Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019) fame will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 28, 2023.

Varun Dhawan was most recently seen in Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Bhediya (2022), in which he co-starred with Kriti Sanon. The actor will next be seen in Nitish Kumar’s romantic period drama ‘Bawaal,’ in which he will co-star with Janhvi Kapoor. The film is set to be released in theatres on October 6, 2023.

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest film, Shaakuntalam, has failed to make an impression at the box office. The film struggled to break into the double digits, earning less than Rs 10 crore in four days.

Samantha will next be seen in the Telugu romantic comedy ‘Kushi,’ in which she will share screen space for the first time with Vijay Deverakonda. The film is set to be released on September 1, 2023.
