It was a busy Friday when the audience had too many options for a film to catch. One of these was Marjaavaan that did not work the way the action masala film was expected to perform at the box office. Yet, the collection can be called decent enough to celebrate and have good time in the media. The film started with 7.14 Crores on the first day, while the second day also seemed on similar notes scoring 7.10 Crores at the box office.
As per reports, the third-day box office collection seemed to be decent enough to get higher figure considering the holiday. The film went on to score 10.5 Crores. With these figures, the 1st-weekend box office collection for Marjaavaan went on to score not less than 24.84 Crores in a big way. The film did a decent collection in the single screens, however, failed to get a good footfall at the multiplexes.
There seemed to have done well in the Mumbai circuits but in other metro cities, it failed to pick up the way it was required. On the contrary, if you look at the perspective of the way the films of Siddharth Malhotra has performed, it has emerged out as the fourth highest grosser in his career. The film is an action masala entertainer and it would get a decent collection at the end of the first week or second weekend. The film also has Riteish Deshmukh as the lead actor and he is seen in the role of a villain.
