The B Town Ajay Devgn has often proved out to be a big hit when it comes to the box-office, and his latest released film, Raid, seems to be doing well thus treading along the very same path. The film starring Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz-starrer hit the screens last Friday on 16 March. The film though opened up on an average collection on the first day but the following two days have been better at the box office. The movie struck the right chord with the right selection of the theme seen in the film calling audiences from all corners of the towns and cities giving a remarkable growth.
So far the film has collected a decent amount. As per reports, the first-week box office collection minted Rs 59.75 crore at the box office. The collection after the first weekend was around 40 crore, while the weekdays have given a meager collection of around 3 crore on an average after the first weekend. With its impressive performance in the first weekend, the film has emerged out as the highest weekend grosser in the year 2018. Despite getting some amount of resistance from the Luv Ranjan film SKTKW, the film’s collection went steadily over the box office.
However, with the advent of Rani Mukherji’s starrer movie Hichki, the film is likely to get some amount of competition, which will have its impact on the second weekend. So, the collection has gone smoothly for the film Raid but talking about entering into the 100 crore club; the film has to fight with other movies already doing well like Sony Ki Tweety and the movie releasing this Friday from the Yash Raj Films.
