Varun Dhawan Playfully Labels KWK Host ‘Karan Ghar-tode’ Amidst Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Controversy

The much-anticipated fifth episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8 is set to grace the screens with the charismatic duo of Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra as guests. In his signature style, host-filmmaker Karan Johar delves into their personal lives, eliciting candid confessions and revealing anecdotes from their early days as assistant directors on Shah Rukh Khan’s epic film My Name is Khan.

The Koffee With Karan (KWK) promo kicks off with Karan Johar introducing Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra as “nothing but Kens without their Barbies,” playfully alluding to their respective wives, fashion designer Natasha Dalal and actor Kiara Advani. Karan quips, “They are picture-perfect husbands to the world, but on my couch tonight, these boys are nothing but Kens without their Barbies.”

Varun Dhawan playfully cautioned Karan Johar, “Just make sure our relationships stay intact,” hinting at the potential for Karan’s candid conversations to spark controversy. In a lighthearted jab, Varun also addressed Karan with the nickname “Ghartode” (home wrecker), seemingly alluding to the recent stir caused by Karan’s interview with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Karan then delved into their past, reminiscing about Varun’s penchant for taking “pictures with these girls” during the filming of My Name Is Khan (2010) in Los Angeles. Varun acknowledged the claim, but pointedly added, “Even he (Sidharth) took pictures,” drawing Sidharth into the conversation. Sidharth, in turn, playfully revealed, “He (Varun) was selling Shah Rukh Khan’s pictures to the girls.”
