Brahmastra box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt starrer continues to stay strong
The second weekend of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor saw an increase of more than 65 per cent. The film successfully crossed the Rs. 200 crore net milestone, becoming only the second Hindi original film in 2022, following The Kashmir Files. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy, and Shah Rukh Khan in supporting roles. The film has also done well worldwide, and it is the first Hindi picture in almost two and a half years to do so, the last being Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War.

Brahmastra had net revenue of Rs. 207.90 crore after its second Sunday, with Rs. 186.50 crore from Hindi and another Rs. 21.40 crore from dubbed versions. Brahmastra has managed to overcome all odds with a worldwide total of Rs. 343.32 crore in the first ten days.
The film performed well on the first Monday, adding Rs. 4.25 crore on day 11, bringing India’s net total to Rs. 212.15 crore. The film will complete the week with a gross of more than Rs. 222 crore, and the second weekend should be good as Brahmastra is mostly a weekend release.
National Cinema Day on September 16
Leading multiplex chains are also celebrating ‘National Cinema Day,’ which means that tickets will be offered at a discounted rate of Rs. 75 flat. Most sites have already begun to fill quickly, which is a good indication for the film business because it demonstrates that people are willing to come to theatres if ticket prices are kept reasonable. The film is expected to become the highest-grossing Hindi origin film in India, as well as the highest-grossing Hindi film in the globe.
Brahmastra Part 1 – Shiva has laid the groundwork for the trilogy, and one can only hope that films from the ‘Astraverse’ fare well at the box office. The next big box office release will be Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan on September 30th, and the Hindi industry hopes that the film would aid in the revival of the Hindi box office.
