Delhi HC Directs Khandaani Shafakhana makers to show sexologist before its release
In a recent development for the Sonakshi Sinha starrer film Khandaani Shafakhana we hear that the Delhi High Court has asked the makers to consult some sexologists before the film hits the screen. The film with Badshah and Varun Sharma seems to have a decent buzz as the makers have been promoting the movie far and wide in the country. As the film showcases Sonakshi Sinha as a sex-related ailment health expert running a sex clinic, she seems to be the only lady in B Town to have picked up a film with a taboo issue and thus going bold on it.
While the promotion of the film seems to be on the full swing, it seems that it has gone into a legal tangle. Bhushan Kumar has produced the film under its own banner called T-Series. The legal tangle started when a nookyologist Dr. Vijay Abbot based in Delhi has filed a complaint against the movie stating that the film somewhere maligns the image of his profession. Hearing on its petition, the Delhi High Court has ordered the makers to showcase the film before it finally hits the screen.
The one bench court headed by Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw asked the makers to do the needful just to clear the doubt of the person regarding the film and image defamation. Now, the court will resume on this issue on 29th July. The court categorically said that the makers should first show the film to the said person without revealing it to anyone else. With this, the makers are now under the compulsion to showcase the film to the concerned man before they release or even premier the film. Once they are able to convince this man then they get the green signal to release the film in the screens.
