Following the phenomenal success of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has finally unveiled the release dates for the next two installments in the trilogy.

Ayan finally revealed the release date for ‘Brahmastra Part 2: Dev’ and ‘Brahmastra Part 3’ in a new Instagram post on Tuesday morning.

Brahmastra Part Two: Dev, which was originally slated to be released in Diwali 2025, has been pushed back a year to December 2026. And Brahmastra 3 will be released in theatres in December 2027.

Ayan penned in his note that both films will be made together. “The time has come – for some updates on the Brahmastra Trilogy, the Astraverse, and my life! After absorbing all the love and the feedback on Part One… I have been focused on creating the vision for Part Two and Part Three – which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than Part One! I have learnt that we need a little more time to perfect the script of Brahmästra Two and Three. And I have decided that we are going to make two films… Together! Allowing them to release closer together”.

Part 1 of Brahmastra was released in September 2022. The first installment, produced by Star Studios Dharma Productions, also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in key roles. Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, the film was a box office success, grossing over Rs. 430 crores worldwide.
