Ek Paheli Leela Review : A curvaceous and sexually attractive fairy tale

Ek Paheli Leela review

The most awaited movie hitting this Friday is Ek Paheli Leela. The movie has Sunny Leone, Jay Bhanushali, Rajniesh Duggal, Mohit Alawat, and Rahul Dev. It is directed and written by Bobby Khan, while the film is produced by a slew of filmmakers including Bhushan Kumar, Ahmed Khan, Shaira Khan and Kishan Kumar, similar is the story with the music direction part wherein you have a number of music directors like Meet Bros, Anjaan, Amaal Mallik, Tony Kakkar, Dr Zeus and Uzair Jaswal. Ek Paheli Leela is thrilling romance and musical thriller, which also shares the story of reincarnation. Let’s dig deep into the film and find out what’s in it.

Let’s start with the plot of the film. The movie is a reincarnation tale about the love found in between Leela and her love, which turns to remain incomplete as one of them is murdered. The story then repeats after 300 long years when Leela comes out in the form of Meera while her love boy is reborn in the same age. Now, if you talk about the script, you can found it a roller coaster one, when the audience is taken back to the 300 years ago memory lanes and revert to the present one out of blue. This simply raises confusion in the minds of the audience with the shifts in two different ages without following a proper pattern, making the script a bit yawning at times. Sunny is seen in two different roles playing the current age Meera and Leela a alluring damsel found in the 300 years back in Rajasthan state.

In her first role, she is an elite and sophisticated British born model called Meera who is keen to solve the mystery of her incomplete love of 300 years when she was Leela- the traditional Rajasthani girl, while the truth is uncovered as the story is seen taking the rebirth of the main lead characters. On the other side you have Jay Bhanushali playing the character of Karan who is a musician, he is the man connected to Meera via her past, which you need to find out exploring in the film. Interestingly, Leone showcases her cleXvage more aptly around 300 years back as she does in the current age. This skin show carried out by Leone with temperate measure, rendering the apt sense of continuity to plot, which is loosely based in Shakti Samanta’s Mehbooba. Sunny Leone is more known for her skin shows rather than her acting performance, however, this time she was able to perform better as a queen of seduction. On the other side, Jay and others were seen overshadowed by the hot lady too often giving them less chance to prove their worthiness over the silver screen of Ek Paheli Leela.

The images you find are seen splashed all over the frames to showcase two differences ages are perfectly carried out seeking the help of flamboyant colours, which is keen to pay homage to the flamboyant aesthetics of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In order to get the image of Bhansali out in the open, while the director was smart enough to infuse Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje from movies like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam just to spice up the proceedings. Honestly speaking, the audience interest level is never seen allowed to sag. The plot simply moves via two entirely different antithetical ages with surefooted steps, which ensure that none of the character trip over the enthusiasm in order to inject the freeness. The other aspects of movies like music, editing, screenplay and locations are par, which add value to the film

Ek Paheli Leela Review Last word

Ek Paheli Leela is a blend of drama, romance and mystery as witnessed in novels. The content seems different and tangible, while the music simply helps in taking up the story forward. Though movies on reincarnation were made, however, what makes this film different than the others is the way it is made and hot and sensual presence of Sunny Leone. However, as far as performance is concerned, everyone seems to be lagging behind, which gives us to ask big question, can skin shows be the substitute to the acting and skill performances, which is more seen in this film with the presence of Sunny Leone. In other words, Ek Peheli Leela is all about a fairy tale of a curvaceous and sexually attractive woman.
