Tubelight after getting mixed reviews both from the critics and viewers seemed to be struggling on the box office. Though the film doesn’t happen to be a stereotypical film by Salman Khan considering the number of emotional sequences in it but as the film was seen too much dragging with emotional sequences people had failed to like it as they Salman shedding his tears all throughout the movie. The movie was therefore seen struggling at the domestic market which is really been a tad bit shocking.
As per reports, the film collected 4.5 crore on day 7 on Thursday, which made the film enter the 100 crore club making the total collection of 107.11 crore. After one week, the film still struggles with mere 100 crore, which was not the case of earlier Eid releases of Salaman Khan. When Salman was posed the question about the low ratings about this film he said he got good reviews as he was expecting negative by them reviewers.
He further said since the film doesn’t give you much opportunity to sing and dance unlike his previous films hence it didn’t work well. The festive season is to play, dance and sing and the movie has given less opportunity for the same, which stopped the audience to catch his movie. However, at the overseas collection, the reports seems to be positive about Tubelight as it has garnered around 63 crores making the total collection to reach 170 crores. This time Salman Khan lost the gleam of festive release, do you agree?
