Sweetie weds NRI trailer looks so promising that it might be the comeback of the good old comedy in Bollywood!

Being bollywood lovers, we all have a special love for comedy, you cant deny it! Yes, we grew up watching love stories and romance, but a big part of our growing up included good old Bollywood comedy. But long gone are those days when films like ‘Chupke Chupke’ and ‘Golmaal’ tickled our funnybones and made us laugh and went on to become the classics that they are. Movies like ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’ and ‘Hera Pheri’ made our childhoods so memorable that even today we don’t miss the numerous television reruns. A quintessential comic film should be able to make us laugh without cracking offensive or sexist jokes.

And that’s exactly what the new film ‘Sweeti weds NRI’s trailer manages to do. Starring Zoya Afroz and Himansh Kohli. With the lead pair’s fresh onscreen pairing, the romance looks so refreshing and out of the box. From the trailer, it seems that the film is going to be super fun, and it deals with a subject that has seldom been tried in Bollywood. That’s what makes it even more worth waiting! The trailer opens with the girl wanting to get married to her boyfriend, but her parents decide to get her married elsewhere, and that’s when the girl’s mother reveals her desire to get her daughter married to a NRI. And that’s when the fun starts!

What unfolds next is a fun ride,, where the lead pair leaves no stone unturned to make their wedding happen. Going by the film’s trailer, it seems Bollywood and we all are in for a laugh marathon, just like the old Hindi films.

Talking to the lead pair, Himansh said, “When I was trying really hard to get into acting it never happened, but once I had let it go and pursued a different profession, that’s when acting knocked on my door.” “This time by itself, maybe destiny had some other plans for me. I do come from a non-filmy background and that’s what keeps me motivated because I know nobody’s going to do anything for me so, I’ll have to push myself now and then and break the chain. I’m truly inspired by (actors) Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, as they did the same when they had nobody to support or push them either,” he added.

The film is releasing on June 2, and we don’t want to miss it!
