Sulemani Keeda Movie Review – A Fulgent Watch

sulemani keeda movie review

In the list of four movies released this Friday, Sulemani Keeda is an independent slacker comedy the one for the audience this week. The movie is directed by Amit Masurkar, while is produced under the banner of Tulsea Pictures along with Mantra/Runaway Entertainment. The main leads of Sulemani Keeda include Naveen Kasturia, Aditi Vasudev, Mayank Tewari, Krishna Bisht, Karan Mirchandani and Rukshana Tabassum. Though the movie was produced last year but its release got delayed for one reason or the other, however, it was firs screened in the year 2013 at the Mumbai Film Festival. Now, let’s dig deep into the film to check, how it actually is all about.

Interestingly, the movie Sulemani Keeda happens to be a pleasant watch. However, the only problem, which you can point out about it is that the people closer to the film would be able to understand its flair and relevance to the society and for the rest, it is nothing but Bollywood’s portrayal of its flip side. The humor of the movie is simply a big funny element, which can be called as the only USP of the movie. The tone of the movie is not at all serious, which simply do not trivialize heartbreak and pain. You can find too many things happening right from the scenes flowing, breakup, love and hate, which together can give you the blatant and real kind of feel to the audience. In this freeloader bro-mantic kind of comedy, the two lead characters called Mainak and Dulal are seen dreaming of shaking up the entire film industry with their script called Sulemani Keeda called Pain in the Ass. However, they are rejected by the producer, making them move around bookstores wherein they slam down poems shamelessly. Amidst all this, they end up meeting a popular Bollywood producer who promises the duo to give their first directorial venture. This is where the duo meets a gorgeous photographer called Ruma. The writers are assigned to indianize one overseas script, which at the end of the day makes the writing indelible, crisp and smart.

Now, let’s talk about the performances. One of the key elements of success is the incredible casting. Every actor in the lead found in the movie is seen easily over their parts catering humor with some of the best performances. Naveen and Mayank Tewari share an incredible amity and the effervescent quality. The role of Gonzo played by Karan Mirchandani is a sensible enough to cater smarter humor and render humor catering the right plot. Lastly, Aditi Vasudev in the character of Ruma is incredible unlike the way she appeared in Talaash. She appeared both gorgeous and skilled while playing the character of a lawyer who is also a photographer by hobby. Her character has often competed with Karan in the film, which makes her performance worth watching. Such movies are often called the director’s movie, which encompasses vivid narrative, new energy and incredible performances. Thus the victory of this movie goes to Amit Masurkar for producing real movie. He has smartly created situational comedy using the tool of humor and other stuff. The cinematography of this movie is incredibly gorgeous, while the B Town seems to have come up with new life thanks to the music blends with strong narrative. This is stronger to the extent compelling the people to hum the song on their own.

Sulemani Keeda Last Word

Overall, The movie Sulemani Keeda has both the good and the bad, however, weighing the two, the former seems to be more than the latter. The good part of the movie is the smartly tuned up humorous dialogues, while the real spirit of the movie dwells in the bright beaming kind of narrative, which is competent enough to draw you in no time. On the flip side, the story of the movie is seen losing water in the middle, however, the climax seems incredible. Thanks to the right kind of blend used in this movie, which all together can even allow you easily to forgo the said trivial flaws. Thus the rating for the movie certainly deserves to be higher, which makes us give 4.0.
