Oksana Rasulova  is an Azerbaijani dancer, choreographer and actress. She is Indian classical dancer, as well as Bharatanatyam dancer and was born on 19th December 1982 in Shabran Shabran, Azerbaijani SSR, USSR. She is a gynecologist from the Republic of Azerbaijan has won India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, the popular talent-based reality show. Oksana Rasulova, 31, quit her job of four years as a gynecologist in a prominent hospital in Russia to participate in the popular Indian reality show. Oksana and Moradabad native Syed Mamoon were recently declared winners of the show that is judged by prominent film-maker Anurag Basu, dialogue and screenplay writer Vijay Krishna Acharya, and actress Sonali Bendre.

Rasulova was born in Shabran, Azerbaijani SSR.In her childhood, she moved with her family to Russia, where she started to learn Bharata Natyam. In the year 2001, she created “Chandra Muthi” dance group and started to work as choreographer. In 2014, she was featured and won Zee TV’s India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, a talent show for aspiring actors. She was often compared for her striking resemblance to the Indian actress Preity Zinta.[citation needed] And also won it along with Syed Mamoon in season 3. In the same year, she was awarded “Goddess of dance” statuette prize by Indian Embassy in Azerbaijan.

She speaks fluent Hindi, along with her native Azerbaijani and Russian. Oksana’s passion for dance and her secret desire to be part of the Indian showbiz prompted her to give the show’s auditions a shot a few months ago. “Coming from a highly-educated family and with no connection with Indian films, it was difficult to explain my decision of quitting medicine and auditioning for a reality show and she grew up on Bollywood films back in Azerbaijan.
