Varun Dhawan’s Packed Schedule: Only Young Actor with 6 Upcoming Projects, Including Anticipated Web Series

According to recent media reports, the seasoned actors Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar are known for their prolific output, with Ajay set for a remarkable 5 releases this year and Akshay consistently lining up several upcoming films. This pattern is less commonly observed among younger actors, making Varun Dhawan’s trajectory particularly noteworthy. Reportedly, Varun has a staggering 5 films and a grand web series in the pipeline, setting him apart from his contemporaries.

Varun Dhawan’s sole release in 2023 was “Bawaal,” co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, which debuted exclusively on Amazon Prime on July 21. This year, he is set to feature in “Baby John,” produced by Atlee, the director of “Jawan” (2023). The teaser has already piqued interest, and the film, also starring Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff, is scheduled for release on May 31.

Furthermore, as per reports, around the time of “Baby John’s” release, Varun Dhawan is slated to commence filming for a project with Shashank Khaitan, the director of “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” (2014) and “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” (2017). Speculation suggests that Janhvi Kapoor will reunite with Varun for this vibrant project, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Moreover, in the latter half of 2024, Varun Dhawan is expected to embark on filming his father David Dhawan’s upcoming comic venture. Following this, he will transition to a different comedic project with the sequel to the 2005 hit “No Entry,” produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Anees Bazmee, featuring Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh alongside Varun. Subsequently, Varun is projected to commence filming for “Bhediya 2,” the sequel to the horror comedy announced in April 2023, which will be followed by a release date announcement.

Despite the extensive filming schedule, it is unlikely that these projects will see releases in 2024, except for “Baby John.” However, in addition to this, Varun Dhawan is set to feature in another major release – “Citadel: India,” a web series on Amazon Prime Video directed by Raj-DK and featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The series is a spin-off of the 2023 American series Citadel, which starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden.

Varun Dhawan’s prolific lineup of projects underscores his versatility as an actor and his unwavering commitment to delivering diverse and engaging content across various platforms. His ability to balance such an extensive slate of work is a testament to his standing in the industry and his dedication to his craft.
