Actress Prachi Desai turns 34 today, on the 12th of September. The actress managed to make her name in Bollywood with a lot of effort and it wasn’t an easy route for her. The Gujrat-born actress began her acting career through television and went on to work in Bollywood films after rocking the small screen. Prachi made her TV debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Kasamh Se
Prachi Desai rose to popularity with Ekta Kapoor’s one of the longest-running shows ‘Kasamh Se’. This role of ‘Bani Dixit’ was so much liked by the audience that she soon became a household name. The show effortlessly stayed at the top of the TRP ratings for four consecutive years. She starred opposite Ram Kapoor in this show. In the end, her character was replaced by Gurdeep Kohli to let her exit from the show. After this show, she did several reality shows, one of which was Jhalak Dikhha Jaa 2. She even went on to win this dance reality series.
Prachi entered Bollywood in the year 2008
After spreading her magic on TV and reality shows, she debuted in Hindi cinema in 2008 with the film Rock On. Along with her, It included many actors like Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, and many others. And there was no turning back for her then. She was then cast in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai alongside Emraan Hashmi, Bol Bachchan, Azhar, Police Giri, and I Me Aur Mai.Â
Prachi Desai got the best-supporting actress award at IIFA for her performance in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. Although she didn’t receive the amount of popularity in Bollywood that she got on television, her journey on the big screen can be seen as a success.Â
