Anil Sharma, Director of Gadar 2, Accuses Makers of Inflating Box Office Numbers and Purchasing Tickets Themselves, Audience Deems Them Untrustworthy

Filmmaker Anil Sharma has spoken out against the practice of fudging box office collections in the Indian film industry. He says that this is a damaging trend that only creates doubts in the public. Sharma says that his latest film, Gadar 2, has had “real” box office collections and has not been hyped.

Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. It stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles. The film was released on August 11 and has grossed over ₹456.95 crore (US$60 million) in 17 days. This makes it the fastest Indian film to cross the ₹450 crore (US$60 million) mark.

Sharma says that he is proud of the fact that Gadar 2 has had “real” box office collections. He says that this is a testament to the hard work that he and his team put into the film. Sharma also says that he hopes that other filmmakers will stop fudging box office collections and focus on making good films.

The practice of fudging box office collections is not new in the Indian film industry. In the past, there have been several allegations of films being given fake box office numbers. This practice can damage the reputation of the film industry and can also mislead the public.

In an interview with Puja Talwar, filmmaker Anil Sharma spoke about how certain event films of Bollywood have failed to get audiences to theaters. He said that a well-made, wholesome Hindi film will always draw in audiences. However, he believes that in their desperation to get a hit, some filmmakers take the wrong path.

Sharma cited the example of his own film, Gadar 2, which has been a huge success at the box office. He said that the film’s success is a testament to the fact that audiences still appreciate good storytelling. He also said that he is proud of the fact that Gadar 2 is a clean and wholesome film that can be enjoyed by families of all ages.
