Shabana Azmi test positive of COVID-19 urges people who came in contact with her to get tested
Veteran actor Shabana Azmi has been tested positive for COVID-19. The actress has gone into home isolation on Tuesday. The 71-year-old actor shared that she has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in an Instagram post. Shabana Azmi urges people who come in contact with her to get tested.
“Have tested positive for Covid today. Have isolated myself at home and request all those who were in close contact with me to please get tested,” Azmi wrote in the caption.

As soon as she posted about her health many industry friends wished her speedy recovery, “Get well soon Shabana ji,” actor Divya Dutta wrote. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra commented, “Take care. Get well soon.” Film producer Boney Kapoor showed concern for Shabana’s husband Javed Akhtar and wrote, “Oh God , please stay away from Javed Saab.” Saif Ali Khan’s sister Saba Ali Khan said, “Aadab . Wishing you a speedy recovery.” Actor Lillete Dubey wrote, “Get well soon.”
Many fans also wished her well, “Corona has fallen in love with you. Get well soon.” Another one said, “You look so elegant. Love what you are wearing in your neck. May you recover speedily.” While one said, “Get well soon ma’am. Hope Javed sir is fine. Wish you a speedy recovery.”
On the work front, Azmi will next be seen starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan in Karan Johar’s “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.”
She’ll also appear in Showtime’s upcoming series ‘Halo,’ which is co-produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and 343 Industries. The show, which is based on the popular Xbox video game franchise, will premiere on the streaming service on March 24.
