Bollywood’s Swift Registering For Film Titles on ‘Article 370’, ‘Kashmir Hamara Hai’

article 370 1Earlier in March, it was reported about how film production houses in Mumbai rushed to register titles corresponding the Pulwama terror attack and the subsequent Balakot retaliation by the Indian forces. Now, Bollywood seems to make a swift step without losing any time to register film titles relating to the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per a source of a popular media platform, which is also supposed to be close to the Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers’ Association (IMPPA), it was known that between 20 to 30 producers have approached the registering body to register the title Article 370 and Article 35A.

However, the other titles related to the government’s decision of revoking Article 370 includes- Kashmir Hamara Hai and the literal translation of Article 370 and 35A in Hindi – Dhara 370 and Dhara 35A.

On the other hand, soon after the Pulwama terror attack and the Balakot air strike, a list of 34 film titles were applied for by various filmmakers who included titles like:

  • Abhinandan
  • The Air Strike Of Pulwama
  • The Air Strike
  • India Strikes Back
  • 14th Feb 2019 Pulwama Attack
  • Surgical Strike 2.0
  • Surgical Strike 2.0 Code Pulwama
  • Zero Mercy Pulwama
  • Indian Strikes Code Pulwama
  • Josh Is High

While the submissions have been huge, it has been learnt that the IMPPA is yet to approve the applications that they have received for registering the titles relating to the revocation of Article 370 in J&K. It was also known that IMPPA’s decision of allotting the titles to producers will be soon made.
