Roy is among the first Bollywood film in 2015, which received one of the top grosser position with a figure of 8.40 crore on its first day beating Baby. The film by the debutant starring Arjun Rampal, Ranbir and Jacqueline Fernandez was able to bag a decent figure at the end of the first week. Despite getting mixed reviews, the film was able to do a decent business not just on its first day or weekend but also after the passage of first week. Though the film’s collection was hampered last Sunday with a collection reaching to a meagre amount of 7.20 crores owing to the India Pakistan World Cup Cricket Match, but it was able to compensate the other days.
As per reports, Roy First Week Box Office Collection tolled to around 41 crores, while the same movie got the collection of 29 crores in its first weekend. As far as the other movie MSG- The Messenger is concerned, there are several other figures, which seem to float around the media increasing the ambiguity in terms of figure. This is all together a different movie dealing with some strong social message and turning into a controversial one really helped the film to gain good figure after its first week.
