Salman Khan mourns the death of Wajid Khan

Bollywood composer Wajid Khan of the famous duo of Sajid-Wajid died at the age of 42. The news of his demise was confirmed by Sonu Nigam and Salim Merchant on social media. Actor Salman Khan expressed his deep condolences on his demise. Wajid last worked with Salman.

Announcing on his official account, Salim Merchant wrote, “I broke up with the news of the death of my brother Wajid from the pair of Sajid-Wajid.” May Allah give strength to the family. Safe Travel Brother Wajid Khan You have left so soon. This is a big loss to our community. I am shocked and broken. ”

Now, Salman Khan has also expressed his condolences on his Twitter account. In his tweet, he wrote that he will miss Wajid and his talent. He wrote, “Wajid you will always be respected, loved and remembered as a very good person and genius. Love you and peace be upon your beautiful soul. … ”

Salman and Sajif-Wajid’s collaboration with ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’ started in the year 1998 and since then they have given blockbuster numbers. They last worked together for Salman’s recent songs ‘Pyaar Karauna’ and ‘Bhai Bhai’.

In an earlier interview, Wajid also said that he treats Salman like an elder brother. He also said that he would treat him the same throughout his life. Even calling Salman a musical superstar, he had said that Salman had an amazing ability to show talent and give a chance to talented people. He said, “I consider Salman bhai the elder brother and will continue to believe all my life because he has the ability to choose the talent which very few people has.”

Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Parineeti Chopra, Mika Singh and others also expressed condolences on their respective social media accounts.

The Sajid-Wajid duo last worked on Salman Khan’s song-bhai bhai, which was released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, amidst a COVID-19 inspired lock down.
