Karan Johar Turns Down Shah Rukh Khan for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar have a long-lasting and deep friendship that has stood the test of time. Throughout their association, Shah Rukh Khan has been a constant presence in almost all of Karan Johar’s directorial projects, demonstrating their strong professional partnership and personal connection.

However, when it came to the film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his enthusiasm and willingness to participate in the project, offering his services to Karan Johar. Given their history of successful collaborations, it was only natural for Shah Rukh Khan to be a part of this upcoming venture.

Shah Rukh Khan danced on the song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” for his fans outside his home, Mannat. Photos of Shah Rukh Khan greeting his fans outside Mannat in Mumbai have been circulating online. Shah Rukh Khan was recently spotted at the airport with singers Shirley Setia, Rakhi Sawant, and actor Ashutosh Rana. Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Pathaan.  According to a source close to Karan Johar, who spoke to Koimoi, Karan decided not to include Shah Rukh Khan in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as a mere cameo. The source said, “Karan Johar did not want SRK to appear just for the sake of it. 

 

The source revealed that Shah Rukh Khan had extended his services to Karan Johar and said, “He reminded Karan that he is Karan’s lucky mascot. But Karan reminded SRK that he did not want Shah to pop in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and vanish quickly. SRK’s fans would have protested.” Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions present a Dharma Productions film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. And it is all set to hit the big screen on July 28, 2023.
