Hichki starring Rani Mukerji recognized as the best film at Gryphon Awards
Rani Mukherji seemed happy to see her film getting nominated at the prestigious award function called Gryphon Awards in Italy. And she finally learned that her film has bagged the best film award at Gryphon, she had all the reasons to be on cloud 9. Yes, you heard it right as the lady has bagged the best film award at the prestigious 49th edition of Giffoni Film Festival in Italy. The film has impressed the audience with its content and performance.
The film seems to have a universal appeal and it has resonated with the audience in a big way. The fact that the film has been voted as the best film at the said festival talks a lot about the rich content and good message it gives to the audience. The film talks about a young school teacher who overcomes all odds and finds out her way to teach the kids admitted under Right to Education. The film was produced by Aditya Chopra who also shared his happiness about this achievement.
The said film festival is known to have a special segment known as Elements +10, where young kids of 10 to 12 years vote for the best film. As per reports, more than 1,500 children seemed to have voted for seven feature different movies form countries like China, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia in the Elements + 10 categories while “Hichki” bag the top slot. The film deals with a teacher who suffers from nervous system disorder – Tourette Syndrome but she takes up the job with courage and determination changing the life people. Talking about Rani Mukherji, she is now doing Mardaani 2, which will be releasing this year.
