Shah Rukh Khan to feature in Tamil film Vikram Vedha’s Hindi remake

Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in the film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ opposite Anushka Sharma. It could not create wonders at the box office. His earlier releases like ‘Dear Zindagi’ and ‘Raees’ performed decent at the ticket window. The news update is making rounds that the superstar will next be seen in Anand L Rai’s forthcoming venture in which Khan will be portraying the role of a dwarf.  This venture is expected to be out on Christmas 2018.

Apart from this, Shah Rukh Khan will feature in the upcoming Hindi remake of Tamil movie ‘Vikram Vedha’. The Tamil flick was the directorial venture of Pushkar-Gayathri and starred R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. It’s a gangster-police drama and gained thumbs up from the audience for the original Tamil film. The Hindi version will be produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The talks of negotiation are on between them and the producer S Sashikanth in order to buy the rights. It will be two-hero venture and the name of the second lead has to be finalised. Also, the names of lead actress and the director are yet to be locked.

Tamil movie ‘Vikram Vedha’ revolves around a very strict, ruthless encounter police Vikram and the story telling dangerous gangster Vedha. However, Shah Rukh’s role in this film is yet to be decided as to whether he will essay the character of Vikram or Vedha. R. Madhavan played the role of Vikram and the gangster was portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi in the Tamil film.

Post completing filming for Anand L Rai’s upcoming, King Khan will kick start shooting for this Hindi remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’ in the year 2018. It’s said to be a quickie flick and its release date is not yet decided. The production house Red Chillies Entertainment is soon to arrive with the formal announcement of this movie.
