The much awaited Joss Whedon movie Avengers: Age of Ultron has finally hit the theatres. It is a sequel to the earlier released 2012 Avengers. The film has loads of stars in the case, which include Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Hayley Atwell, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader. The movie revolves around the secret mission found in this epic tale, which is initiated just to save the earth from fierce dancer. The Good and Bad of Avengers
Well, if you talk about the good elements of the film, be prepared to explore some of the most spectacular VFX effects catered to you so nicely in a 3D format. You can catch up some of the greatest stunts of Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Hawkeye. And the way the Avengers are able to clean up the mess eventually finds out how the planet reaches out at a safer hand. Now, if you talk about the bad you hardly find any all in all, you can find some of the best and entertaining movie, if you plan to catch it in your nearest cinema.
The Plot
The movie opens up the mid battle sequence of team fighting out bullets in the fictional Eastern European nation called Sokovia. In this film, you can find out around four different stories movies simultaneously in the Age of Ultron, while some of these are setting up later. However, the main plotline simply involves the Ultron: an artificial intelligence Tony Iron Man Stark and the Bruce Hulk Banner, which are played by actors Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo who are trying hard to concoct some story from the data recovered at the base of Hydra located at the Easter European country of Sokovia. Considering this to be an important feet, the Avengers throw a party to celebrate their victory of Sceptre, however, soon comes the formation of a new villain for them.
During the same party, Stark is able to convince Banner to use the three days that they own and understand how the sceptre can be beneficial for their Ultron program which is basically the part of Stark’s vision of a Metal Army meant to save earth. As Tony and Banner are seen working together on an Artificial Intelligence, which is based on Stark’s program called Jarvis, therein it’s end up finding out the foundation for Ultron’s birth. Ultron is nothing but a tool designed to save the planet, which can only work after eradicating humanity, it therefore removes the Stark’s program called Jarvis plans to attack the Avengers who are the only one to shield and protect humanity. The best thing the director has done in the sequel is that he has simply avoided covering the personal lives of each and every Avenger. The very special thing about the script is that you can find quirky repartee found in between the team members who are incredibly entertaining apart from catching the best action scenes. The other element, which impresses the audience is the romantic tension found in between Black Widow and Banner aka Hulk. Above all, the dialogues are damn impressive, which showcases smartness in writing them, you would for sure appreciate the same apart from enjoying with a ear to ear grin. In other words, the script is smartly interwoven.
Star Performances
Thought the movie is an action thriller, however, the director has left no stone unturned to add drama and humour in it in equal measure. The performances of every character in the film are typical and everyone seems to have a decent kind of screen time to shine. However, it is the line up of the new people who are seen adding up the creative part of the movie. Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor Johnson, however, were seen struggling with their western European accent but you can find Olsen adding some interesting powers. But one man who steals the show is James Spader wherein he is seen giving his voice to Ultron, which is both affable and chilling while he becomes the terrifying enemy. Indeed kudos to writer-director Joss Whedon, who is successful in dealing with such a complex plot with utter professionalism and dexterity. You can find a couple of sub plots and stories at the background, which tie up the loose ends.
Avengers : Age of Ultron Review – Final Word
Though the film in the first half sounds too racy without having any constructive things in it along with dragging the pace, yet you can find it picking up momentum in the second half. The visuals are the ones, which can keep the audience glued along with the well choreographed action sequences. The massive setup of the catastrophe is really breathtaking, while its effects are simply enthralling. The editing comes like razor sharp ways, however, they remain perfect and flawless as they are able to mix the motion capture frames with a number of computer generated images. And don’t forget the 3D, which simply enhances your viewing experience. However, the only flaw in the movie comes in the form of similar kind of climax as witnessed in every Marvel movies. All in all, it’s a must watch!
