Celebrities promote a variety of brands, and it is a significant source of money for them. They are compensated handsomely for representing a specific brand. Several Bollywood celebrities, however, have chosen ethics over money on several occasions. Let’s take a look at the celebrities who believed in humanity and certain ideas, from Anushka Sharma to the late Sushant Singh Rajput. They turned down top-tier companies simply because it was not beneficial to society.

Aamir Khan:

Aamir Khan is one of Bollywood’s most socially conscious actors. He is a supporter of a number of social causes. Aamir Khan, called Mr Perfectionist, strives for perfection in everything he does. He reportedly turned down a luxury automobile sponsorship agreement in 2013 to focus on his image as a social activist. Aamir initially amended his current contracts with ad agencies after commencing work on his premiere television show Satyamev Jayate, according to a report in a daily tabloid, and eventually terminated all of his commitments. Despite the fact that his show has ended, he refuses to do any advertisements.

Anushka Sharma:

Anushka Sharma has stated that she will never endorse fairness cream advertisements. “I would not endorse products that propagate racist and sexiest (beliefs)….and propagate social taboo. I don’t want to endorse products that propagate fair skin and all. I will not propagate anything that says this is right or wrong,” Anushka revealed in a press event once.

Sushant Singh Rajput:

Sushant Singh Rajput grew up to be a nice man who believed in humanity and certain beliefs. He reportedly turned down a Rs 15 crore offer in 2018 because he was opposed to advertising fairness creams. A source said, as quoted by Mid-Day, “Sushant doesn’t believe in endorsing such products. So despite it being a lucrative offer, he immediately turned it down. He feels that he needs to be responsible for the kind of products he lends his face to, as several people look up to him.”

Amitabh Bachchan:

Amitabh Bachchan once stated that he stopped endorsing Pepsi after being approached by a little girl who asked why he was endorsing a soft drink that her teacher had labeled poison. It made him feel like “this impression is on the minds of the people,” he remarked. “As a result, I stopped endorsing Pepsi,” he informed the crowd. Big B also stated that before endorsing any product, he conducts thorough diligence. “I investigate it… I meet with the client and ask them about it… I don’t recommend smoke or alcohol because I don’t use them, so why should I?” he stated.
