The B Town had just one film to release on the passing Friday with Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan movie – Love Aaj Kal to release. The solo release has had a good response on the first day with the collection reaching to around 12.5 Crores on the first day. However, the second day the film went on to score less when compared to the first-day collection getting around 7.91 Crores. All thanks to the negative word of mouth collection that has marred the film in a big way.
The first Sunday also dropped the collection moving on the similar lines earning around 7.50 Crores only. So, with these figures, the 1st-weekend box office collection has reached up to 27.91 Crores making a disappointing figure at the end of the day for the makers. The first Saturday and Sunday for the film have witnessed the downward trend, which is something to worry about for the makers.
With the highest collection on Friday, the rest of the two days saw the decline over the box office collection. It seems that the negative word of mouth has allowed giving a heavy dent on the romantic drama. The lesser footfalls on Day 2 and Day 3 seemed to have gone disappointing.
The film was seen giving the best of the opening that helped to manage the streak for the film to remain low. The makers on the other side feel that the damage has been done with the negative publicity on social media for the love and romance film.
