Bollywood Celebrities offer their condolences as Vinod Khanna passes away

As the veteran actor Vinod Khanna passed away yesterday at the age of 70 after suffering from prolonged illness the legendary star was offered their condolences. A picture of the handsome actor from the hospital recently went viral which literally shocked many. In the picture, Khanna appeared in a very pale condition. Following this many including celebrities requested the media to refrain from sharing any such image of the actor.

 Many celebs including Salman Khan visited Khanna at the hospital while he was admitted. Salman and Vinod Khanna have worked in many films together including Dabangg and Wanted. Apart from being a class actor, Khanna was also a sitting Bharatiya Janata Party member of the Lok Sabha from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab. The actor is best remembered for his role in movies like Chandni, Amar Akbar Anthony, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, The Burning Train, Qurbaani, Mere Apne, Wanted, Dabangg, Dilwale among many others.

 He is survived by three sons – Akshaye Khanna, Rahul Khanna, Sakshi Khanna and one daughter Shraddha Khanna. As the news of his death shocked many, condolences started pouring in on social media from all sides including politicians, B-Town celebs and his fans. While many took to Twitter, Sanjay Dutt sent out a statement offering his condolences to the late actor.

“It is saddening to hear of the demise of Vinod Khanna ji. I have watched him as a child and throughout my life was always fascinated by his style and charisma. He was always a thorough gentleman. A big loss to the fraternity. He is and always will be family to the Dutts. May his soul rest in peace! My deepest condolences to Kavita Bhabhi, Akshay, Rahul and Sakshi,” read the statement.
